Getting Started
M21 Studio is a suite of web-based translation quality assurance tools developed by M21 Global. It helps translators and language service providers detect errors, inconsistencies, and quality issues in translated documents automatically.
M21 Studio currently includes two main tools:
- QA Check: Automatically detects translation errors such as number mismatches, tag issues, terminology inconsistencies, and missing translations.
- RevCheck: Compares source, initial translation, and revised version to assess translation and revision quality with AI analysis.
QA Check supports bilingual formats: MQXLIFF (memoQ), SDLXLIFF (Trados), XLIFF, MXLIFF (Phrase), TMX, TBX, PO, RESX, JSON i18n, SRT, and VTT.
RevCheck supports document formats: DOC, DOCX, RTF, ODT, PDF, TXT, and HTML.
No. M21 Studio is entirely web-based. You only need a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) to access all features.

Pricing & Usage
Yes. The Pay as you go tier includes 15,000 free equivalent words per month. During beta, usage is capped at your tier limit with no overage charges.
We offer four tiers:

Note: During beta, usage is capped at your tier limit with no overage charges. Overage rates will apply post-beta for paid tiers.
Usage is measured in equivalent words (word credits). Your base word count is always charged in full. Premium features (such as AI analysis) add extra processing cost, converted into additional equivalent words. Discounts on paid plans apply only to the extra portion, not the base.
Example (RevCheck, 3-way analysis on 1,000 words):
- Pay as you go: 1,000 + 2,000 = 3,000
- Professional (50% off extra): 1,000 + (2,000 × 0.5) = 2,000
- Enterprise (extra included): 1,000 + 0 = 1,000
Example (QA Check with premium validation on 1,000 words):
- Pay as you go: 1,000 + 500 = 1,500
- Professional (50% off extra): 1,000 + (500 × 0.5) = 1,250
- Enterprise (extra included): 1,000 + 0 = 1,000
Equivalent words give you predictable costs—you know upfront how much a job will consume. Features with higher computational cost (like AI analysis) count for more, so pricing stays fair.
During beta: Usage is capped at your tier limit. You'll need to wait until the next month or upgrade your tier to continue processing. There is no overage billing during beta.
No. Word allowances reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not accumulate.
Cancel anytime from your account settings. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. See our Terms of Service for details.
Privacy & Security
No. We do not store uploaded files or document content. Files are processed in memory and discarded after processing completes. We do not persist file names, file paths, or any translation text to our databases.
No. We use Anthropic's Claude API under commercial terms. Your data is not used to train or improve any AI models.
We store only:
- Account data: Email address, name, subscription details
- Aggregated metrics: Word counts, error counts by category, quality scores
- Optional labels: User-defined labels for organising reports (not original file names)
We do not persist document content, prompts, model outputs, or original file identifiers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Account and product data is stored in EU-based infrastructure. Some processing services may operate in other regions depending on provider configuration. See our Privacy Policy for details.
AI providers may retain API data temporarily for abuse prevention and service monitoring. Retention periods vary by provider, typically up to 30 days by default, with limited exceptions for trust and safety purposes. Data is not used for model training under our commercial agreements.
Yes. Under GDPR, you can request deletion of your personal data. Contact us at support@m21global.com and we'll process your request within 30 days.
Troubleshooting
We use passwordless magic link authentication. Enter your email on the login page and check your inbox for a secure link. The link expires after 24 hours. If you don't see it, check your spam folder or request a new link.
Processing time depends on file size and the checks enabled. Large documents or files with many segments may take longer. If processing seems stuck for more than 5 minutes, try refreshing the page or uploading again.
The maximum file size is 50MB per document. For larger files, contact us about enterprise solutions.

Yes. Our Enterprise tier includes 2,000,000 equivalent words per month with the most advanced AI model (Opus), dedicated support, and SLA guarantee. For custom volumes or requirements, contact us at support@m21global.com.
Yes. Annual subscriptions provide approximately 17% savings (equivalent to 2 months free). All payments generate invoices automatically, available in your account settings. You can add your company name and VAT number for proper invoicing.
